If you are missing new orders in your busy hours, or somehow you can’t get warning sounds from your system on incoming orders, you can let RestApp remind you that you have awaiting orders over a phone call or text message.
First you need to define a phone number for each location that will receive phone calls or SMS messages.
Step 1. Setting Phone Number
- Login to your dashboard
- Navigate to “Locations” page under “Users” menu.
- Edit the location (by clicking on pencil button at the right side of the list) you want to update.
- You will find “Restaurant Manager’s Phone” input in that page, change or enter a number and click on “Update” button on top right of the page. (Enter the number without country code.)
Step 2. Setting Warning Preferences
Now it’s time to change your awaiting order warning settings
- Navigate to “General Settings” page under “General Settings” menu.
- Select the location you want to edit. (If you have only one location, you can skip this step.)
- Select “Notifications” tab on top navigation.
- You will see “Warn for Awaiting Orders” dropdown. Select if you want SMS or Phone Call, or both of them.
- After selecting notification type, now select a time from “Awaiting Orders Warning Time” dropdown. We always recommend 2 or 3 minutes.
- Click on “Update” button to save your new settings.
